Know Your UDA

A PROMISE FOR A NEW ZIMBABWE.
A SHARED PURPOSE. A PLACE FOR EVERY PATRIOT.

Welcome to the United Democratic Alliance. Whether you have just joined or are learning about UDA for the first time, our message is simple: Nyika Ndeyedu Tese | Ilizwe Ngelethu Sonke | The Nation Is Ours Together. Read, ask questions and take part in shaping a fairer, more accountable Zimbabwe.

A promise for a new Zimbabwe — a shared purpose and a place for every patriot.
Our shared future

Zimbabwe belongs to us all

UDA seeks a redeemed Zimbabwe where every citizen can afford life, public institutions work, serviceable national utilities reach communities and opportunity is available on merit. Our mission is to pursue that change through constitutional, accountable and measurable government.

Zimbabweans building a shared future
Everyday dignity

A country that works

What should ordinary Zimbabweans be able to expect?

Clean Water

Reliable, safe and accessible water should be a basic feature of everyday life.

Reliable Energy

Homes, farms, schools, hospitals and businesses need dependable electricity to function and grow.

Functional Healthcare

Citizens should be able to access dignified, properly equipped healthcare services.

Quality Education

Every Zimbabwean child deserves an education capable of preparing them for the economy of tomorrow.

Jobs & Enterprise

Economic policy should make it easier to work, build businesses, create employment and invest.

Accountable Government

Public office is a responsibility to serve — not an entitlement to public resources.

The seven pillars

Principles with practical commitments

Explore the seven pillars, then read how the manifesto connects them to delivery, funding and public accountability.

01

CONSTITUTION FIRST

The Constitution is not an inconvenience to government. It is the foundation of government. Law above political power. Merit above patronage. Service above entitlement. Transparency above secrecy. Citizen above political office.

For every generation

A child should be able to dream in Zimbabwe

Those dreams should not depend on the wealth, political connections or location of their parents. Education must prepare a child to build a life — through strong basic education, teacher development, modern learning infrastructure, vocational pathways and digital literacy.

Distance does not cancel belonging
Zimbabweans abroad

Distance does not cancel belonging

Zimbabweans living abroad remain part of the country’s national story. UDA policy recognises the diaspora as part of Zimbabwe’s human, professional and economic capital — with a focus on participation, investment, skills transfer, efficient remittances and voluntary return.
